Safari Itinerary
Day 1. ARRIVAL, Tuesday, June 2nd
You will be met upon arrival at the Dar es Salaam International Airport and transferred to Coral Beach Hotel, located on the shores of the Indian Ocean in Dar es Salaam. First group introduction meeting at 7pm in the hotel lobby.
Overnight stay: Coral Beach Hotel. BB
Day 2. SELOUS GAME RESERVE, Wednesday, June 3rd
After breakfast we will fly approximately 45 minutes from Dar es Salaam to Selous. We will be met at the air strip and transferred to Rufiji River Camp where we will be staying for the next three nights.After settling in we will set out for the afternoon driving safari.
There are three types of safaris that Rufiji River Camp specializes in, the driving safari, walking safari and boat safari.
Overnight stay: Rufiji River Camp. FB
Day 3. SELOUS GAME RESERVE, Thursday, June 4th
2 safari activities per day will be organized at the camp including full day driving safari, morning or afternoon driving safari, walking safari or boat safari.Overnight stay: Rufiji River Camp. FB
Day 4. SELOUS GAME RESERVE, Friday, June 5th
2 safari activities per day will be organized at the camp including full day driving safari, morning or afternoon driving safari, walking safari or boat safari.Overnight stay: Rufiji River Camp. FB
Day 5. RUAHA NATIONAL PARK, Saturday, June 6th
After breakfast we will fly from Selous to Ruaha National Park, approximately 45 minutes. We will be met at the air strip and transferred to Ruaha River Lodge where we will be staying for the next three nights. After settling in we will set out for the afternoon driving safari.Overnight stay: Ruaha River Lodge. FB
Day 6. RUAHA NATIONAL PARK, Sunday, June 7th
2 safari activities per day will be organized at the camp including full day driving safari and morning or afternoon driving safari. An optional walking safari can also be organized at the camp for an additional fee.Overnight stay: Ruaha River Lodge. FB
Day 7. RUAHA NATIONAL PARK, Monday, June 8th
2 safari activities per day will be organized at the camp including full day game drive and morning or afternoon game drives. An optional walking safari can also be organized at the camp for an additional fee.Overnight stay: Ruaha River Lodge. FB
Day 8. ZANZIBAR, Tuesday, June 9th
After a relaxed morning we will fly from Ruaha National Park to Zanzibar. We will be met at the airport and transferred to Mnarani Beach Cottages where we will stay for the next two nights.Overnight stay: Mnarani Beach Cottages. HB
Day 9. ZANZIBAR, Wednesday, June 10th
Relax at the beach or pool at Mnarani Beach Cottages.Optional diving, snorkeling, dhow cruises can be organized for an additional fee.
Overnight stay: Mnarani Beach Cottages. HB
Day 10. ZANZIBAR, Thursday, June 11th
After breakfast we will be transferred to Tembo Hotel in the historic part of Stone Town. Explore Stone Town and take pictures of local culture. Optional excursions for Spice Tour and Jozani Forest available.Overnight stay: Tembo Hotel. BB
Day 11. DEPART, Friday, June 12th
After relaxed morning and breakfast we will be transferred to the airport and fly from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam to connect to international flights that will take us back home.BB- bed breakfast; breakfast included in the price
